Celtic Texts of the Coelbook
$19.98 Authored by Celtic priests when the first Gospels of the New Testament were being created, the Celtic Texts of the Coelbook (the last five books of The Kolbrin Bible) documents the fusion of Celtic and Druid mysticism, Judaism and Egyptian anthropology. Some regard it as a key Celtic wisdom text because it includes a revealing biography of Jesus with several never-before published first-person quotes. This work is rooted in a 3600-year-old Egyptian text (the first six books of The Kolbrin Bible) written following the Exodus. It describes how Noah's Flood and the Ten Plagues of Exodus were caused by a planet (also known as Nibiru or Planet X) that orbits our sun every 3600 years. The Egyptians called it the "Destroyer" and the Celtic priests called it the "Frightener." Index: Print and Adobe eBook editions[DOI:10.1572/kolbrin.coelbook] Historical Summary This story begins with Moses and the Hebrew Exodus. Convinced their gods had failed them, the Egyptians conducted the first regional anthropological study of the Middle East, in search of clues that would lead them to the one true G-d of Abraham. They published their findings in a 21-volume work titled The Great Book. During the last millennium BCE, Phoenician traders translated The Great Book from Egyptian Hieratic into their own 22-letter alphabet and entrusted a copy to the Celtic priests in Britain. Inspired by the Egyptian texts, the Celtic priests wrote their own wisdom text in ancient Celtic and called it the Coelbook. Following the death of Jesus, Joseph of Arimathea (Jesus' great uncle on the side of Joseph, his father) founded the Glastonbury Abbey, which later became the repository for these texts. In 1184 CE, English King Henry II ordered an attack on the Abbey. The survivors secreted the remains of the texts to Scotland where they were translated into English and eventually merged to create The Kolbrin Bible. Jesus' Connection to Britain Some historians claim the Coelbook was inspired when Jesus and Joseph of Arimathea visited Britain together. Others claim that the Celtic biographer of Jesus returned with Joseph of Arimathea (who owned a tin mine in Britain ) to the Middle East, where he met Jesus and his family. Either way, historical accounts show that Joseph of Arimathea, brought Jesus' remaining friends and family to Britain shortly after the Crucifixion to escape persecution by the Romans and to spread Jesus' message to "the uttermost parts of the earth." Related Title - The Egyptian Texts of the Bronzebook: The First Six books of The Kolbrin Bible Following Pharaoh's defeat at the hand of Moses, the Egyptians searched the Middle East for clues to the one true G-d of Abraham. What now survives of that noble effort comprises the first six books of The Kolbrin Bible. The Celtic Gods
$20.98 The Celtic myths, involving heroic warriors such as Finn and CuChulinn, can be read as simple primitive stories, but closer examination reveals strange descriptions and relationships. The authors of this groundbreaking book argue that all the principal characters are aspects of the one Celtic sky god, Lugh, who was a comet. Against the background of a comet scenario, this re-interpretation of about 10 key Celtic myths shows how many of the descriptions in the myths fit the appearance of comets. |

Celtic Treasure
$16.48 Challenged by his children's growing disinterest in prayer and spirituality, Philip Newell set out to find a cringe-free guide to family devotions. Unable to find anything not written for an ideal Christian family with totally compliant offspring, he decided to create his own devotions. The book that resulted will enable families to draw regularly from the great riches of Scripture. It will also work easily for individual prayer or worship in small groups. "Celtic Treasure" is structured in seven books covering the whole arc of Scripture ? from the stories of creation and Israel through the life of Jesus and the New Testament letters ? and these seven books each contain seven daily readings. Each day begins with the simple lighting of a candle and retells a passage of Scripture in a manner appropriate for the whole family. With original prayers inspired by the Celtic tradition, it then moves into prayer for the surrounding world and concludes with words of blessing that accompany the putting out of the candle. Following the style of Newell's "Celtic Benediction" and "Sounds of the Eternal," this new volume is beautifully illuminated with designs from the ancient "Book of Kells" and with Celtic border and knot work by an Edinburgh children's art group. Newell's "Celtic Treasure" offers families, small groups, and individuals both starting points for reflection and deeper nourishment for the Christian life. |

The Lost Books of Merlyn
$14.48 If you're involved in any form of Celtic Wicca or Witchcraft, or if you just want to know more about the ancient Celtic Priests, the Druids, you need The Lost Books of Merlyn by Douglas Monroe. But you're not the only one who wanted this book. After his first book appeared, he received over 20,000 letters asking for more! That's the purpose of this book. The Lost Books of Merlyn is a series of writings which have come down to us as attributed through the pen of Merlyn, or — more precisely — as having originally been in his keeping. Merlyn (upon whom the mythical Merlin was based) was a Druid, and the Druids were the priest-priest-initiators of their people. So this book is a reconstruction of the ancient philosophy, beliefs, and methods for personal transformation you can use today. The book is composed of three parts, each one based on old Celtic legends, in the form of a story. Why was it written that way? "Because that is the way the Druids, the Celts, would have done it — that is the way they taught." The three sections are "The Battle of the Trees," "The Book of Pheryllt," and "The Gorchan of Maeldrew." When these stories were originally told, the people knew the meanings of their symbolism. Not so, today. Therefore, at the end of each section is a grimoire explaining the meanings and, at the same time, sharing rituals, oracles, and magical methods. You'll learn about tree oracles, Celtic signs of power, and the Druidic pantheon of deities. You'll discover how to contact Faery folk, the power of words, and charms of protection. Revealed, too, is how to make and use dowsing rods to find ley lines, and the secrets of magical dance and music. Also, you'll find out the secrets of the "Charm of Making" and the proof that it was ancient before it was popularized in a movie. This just barely scratches the surface of the book. You'll find that the wisdom here will touch you and help you on your path. Read it and learn. |

Celtic Religion
$12.98 It is only as prehistoric archaeology has come to throw more and more light on the early civilisations of Celtic lands that it has become possible to interpret Celtic religion from a thoroughly modern viewpoint. The author cordially acknowledges his indebtedness to numerous writers on this subject, but his researches into some portions of the field especially have suggested to him the possibility of giving a new presentation to certain facts and groups of facts, which the existing evidence disclosed. It is to be hoped that a new interest in the religion of the Celts may thereby be aroused. |

The Celtic Phoenix
$13.98 A radical cell of the IRA Provos launches a conspiracy to form a Celtic Nation comprised of the Celtic areas in Europe, plus Boston and Costa Rica. Liam Murphy sets up a base in Boston under the guise of a Celtic Cultural organization and develops a cadre of leaders throughout the Celtic areas. When the conspirators complete the organization they need to govern the Celtic areas, they start planning how they will wrest control of these areas from their respective countries. It becomes obvious that negotiations or military actions will not work. They decide that only nuclear blackmail will succeed. Iraq had secretly developed three nuclear weapons and Liam's group smuggles these weapons out of Iraq. Lacking a delivery system, the conspirators simply attach radio controlled detonators to the weapons and dump them into the sea off the coasts of France, Spain, America, and England. Once detonated, these weapons would cause immense tidal waves wreaking havoc for several miles inland. Federal Agent Angelo Spaziani is tasked with preventing this disaster. |

The Celtic Quest
$22.48 A lavish feast for the eye and spirit, this magnificently illustrated volume features classic works from Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, and Wales, winding the finest poetry, fables, fairy tales, folklore, and lyrics into a magical and mesmerizing Celtic weave. Each section resonates with the mystical ideas of the Celts and the traditions of the Druids--the priesthood that formed the core of Celtic beliefs. Structured according to the Celtic lunar calendar, The Celtic Quest is divided into three sections: Song, Sword, and Star. Song reveals the Celts' deep reverance for nature, celebrating the rebirth of the land as well as the heart in great works by ancient and contemporary bards. Sword reflects the passage of time with tales of courage and transformation that trace the Celtic heroes' journey toward maturity. Star focuses on the Druidic beliefs in reincarnation, shape-shifting, and shamanic practices. From the prophetic poetry of Yeats to contemporary voices like Dylan Thomas and Van Morrison, this gorgeous book will ass mystery and magic to your library and your life. Writers include: William Blake, James Joyce, Katharine Tynan, Robert Burns, and George MacDonald. Artists include: John McKirdy Duncan, Augustus John, Charles Rennie and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, Harry Clarke, Sir Henry Raeburn, James Jebusa Shannon, Peter Davidson, Tim Goulding, Glyn Morgan, and Gewn O'Dowd. Richly illustrated, this anthology reflects the beauty, diversity, and craftsmanship of Celtic art--including paintings, drawings, metalwork, and photographs. The unique pairings of art and literature will inspire as they celebrate the magic, power, and poetry of the Celtic spirit. |
|
Celtic Christianity
$12.98 In this anthology, the stories of the Celtic saints are interspersed with verses, prayers, and sayings attributed to those ancient sages, from St. Patrick and Brigit, through Brendan and Columba, to Aidan and Cuthbert. We do not know when or how Christianity first arrived at those westernmost reaches; it seems always to have been there. Legend tells us that Irish bards attended the events on Golgotha "in the spirit." There is in the Celtic tradition a continuity in cosmic process. For the Celts, Christ's death and resurrection was a healing that made possible a reconciliation of humanity and nature in God. In this sense, Christianity was always in Ireland, and we seek its historical beginning in vain. If the Celtic Chrurch had survived, it is possible that the fissure between Christianity and nature, widened by the centuries, would not have cracked the unity of the Western attitude toward nature and the universe. |

Celtic Flame
$25.98 The name of St. Patrick is familiar to most people in the English-speaking world. Yet most who know his name know next to nothing about him. Legends, myths, and tall tales surround the patron saint of the Irish, but few really know him or understand the burden which guided his work as Bishop of the Irish people during the latter years of the fifth century. In Celtic Flame: The Burden of Patrick, T. M. Moore provides a look into the heart and soul of the great saint. Drawing on ancient documents, especially those from Patrick's own hand, and presenting the saint's testimony in a lively verse paraphrase, the author reveals the warmth, determination, courage, and convictions of the first of the Celtic Fathers. |

Celtic Echoes
$12.98 A motley collection of characters adorn the pages of Celtic Echoes: Lawyers, nurses, doctors, farmers, pub owners, housewives, roving tinkers, soldiers and sailors, they are captured here in what someone else once called, “The art of the glimpse.” Some of the tales are set in rural Ireland, others in Ireland’s capital city of Dublin. They are stories of an Ireland that existed long before the advent of the “Celtic Tiger,” which brought with it all the woes that modern industrialization has to offer. Whether or not Ireland is better for this burgeoning economy is open for discussion, although she has not lost generosity or sociability, always her greatest asset. From the Easter Rising of 1916 to the late ‘70’s, these are stories of simpler times from a land that can shake the heart. |

Celtic Mythology and Religion
$11.12 Purchase of this book includes free trial access to www.million-books.com where you can read more than a million books for free. This is an OCR edition with typos. Excerpt from book: night. She must not, however, see him, for light must not fall on his body or else he at once disappears. But the wife, instigated by her mother, steals a sight of him by lamp-light, with the consequence that he awakes and vanishes. Then follow her trials, pursuit, and recovery of him. The beautiful Greek tale of Psyche and Cupid is but a variation of the same myth. Psyche, the youngest of three royal daughters, incurs the wrath of Venus, who sends Cupid to inspire her with love for something contemptible; as Titania, in Shakespeare, is made to fall in love with the transformed weaver, Bottom. But Cupid, captivated by her beauty, falls in love with her himself, conveys her to a secret cave, and visits her only at night, under strict charge of her not attempting to see him by any light. Her jealous sisters persuade her that she is married to some ugly monster, and she accordingly determines to disobey his injunctions, and inspect him by lamp-light . In so doing, she allows in her admiration of his beauty, a drop of hot oil to fall on his shoulder, and he awakes, and escapes. She suffers woes untold in her pursuit of him, being finally a slave in the household of Venus, who treats her very cruelly. But, of course, she recovers her lost lover at long last. And, again, in India, in the old religious books of the Brahmins, is a somewhat similar tale?the story of Urvasi and Pururavas, the main features of which are the same as the Gaelic and Greek tales already given. To the English reader, the well- known tale of Beauty and the Beast will at once occur as an exact parallel to all these. And, if we take the myths where the heroine is the loathly monster, we shall find an equally wide distribution. We have the Hindu tale, where the Princess is disguised as a withered old woman; the Lo... |

Celtic Tides
$15.98 One of the earlier entries in Putumayo's extensive catalogs, Celtic Tides is a collection of relatively expansive works of modern Celtic music pre-dating at least some of the craze in Celtic sounds that would come in the years to follow. The sounds here range from the well-known old guard members (the Rankin Family, the Chieftains, Clannad) to the slightly newer, slightly more forward-reaching (Altan, Natalie MacMaster) to the lesser-known (Seamus Egan, Dougie MacLean). Along with the progression through the years of development of modern Celtic, there is the geographic development, with artists from Ireland and Scotland certainly, but also the Cape Breton traditions from Canada and even the odd Californian traditionalists. The music is excellent throughout, with standout performances from the Old Blind Dogs (on the more traditional end) and Capercaillie (in the realm of fusion). Overall, it's a nice, relaxed collection of Celtic sounds that relies more on the sheer musical abilities of the groups rather than the stereotypical sounds that veer in and out of authentic grounds. Certainly worth a listen for fans of the genre, but also a nice point to start explorations for newcomers. ~ Adam Greenberg, All Music Guide |
