Mac Linux Student
2008

Im a musician and a college student, who should I get a Mac or a PC, or should I consider Linux?
I've heard Vista Sucks and I hear good things on both Mac and Linux but I need something I can record with, and use of school and I dont have money to throw at one each. I just need it to incorporate decent nothing fancy about 10 at the most tracks per song, and research and write and everything else I may need it as a university student. Right now I'm running XP from a PC I've had for like 4 years and Ive never used this one to record, and now I have to choose something that can do both. So what should I choose?? And explain why
Starting with software. Is there anyone around you use recording equipment software on XP? If it suits your needs, you're done. If all user an app that requires Vista or requires a Mac, go that route. Get recommendations on software, not hardware.
